This past weekend Doug Drown Racing competed at Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, OH.

The night didn't start off the best as I dropped off the back stretch during qualifying so we ended up 2nd to last in that session.

In my heat race i spun out on the first lap to avoid making contact with another driver and instead of stopping I kept the car going but was way behind. We ended up catching the rest of the field and finished 5th in the heat.

In the B main the car was awesome and the DDR Wooster Glass Rocket drove away and won by half a track, which gave us a 16th starting spot for the feature event.

In the feature the car was unreal and I was able to drive anywhere I needed to. By lap two I was up to 9th position and kept moving forward with great pace, we started working on the field I wasn’t sure what position I was in but kept attacking the field, as there were no cautions and we were lapping people two and three times.

When I got out of the car I asked the guys where we finished because I had no idea except for that we passed a lot of cars and the lapped cars so made it hard to know who was where and in what position.

The track was little choppy but the track staff did a great job to make it a racy surface so the fans could watch what I thought would have been a good race to watch.

We will step our racing program up in coming weeks as work & getting the hauler ready has put us behind of where we would like to be right now.

Stay tuned to Dougdrown.com for more information as it comes to hand. Any sponsors interested in  joining a winning team, positions are available on the 2008 race program.
